Beyond our partner meetings, the Optech conference was rich with insights from various panels and presentations. Industry experts shared their predictions about the future of smart technology in the hardware sector, emphasizing the importance of interoperability and customer-centric design.
Here are a few highlights:
A major theme was Artificial Intelligence (AI)… this was a hot topic at the show. What does this mean to operations, resident experience, access control, security, marketing, and more… Such a fascinating topic that is just at the beginning of innovation. We will continue to follow this closely.
Another area of interest that resonated throughout the event was the increasing demand for sustainable solutions. As the industry evolves, it’s clear that customers are looking for products that not only meet their needs but also align with their values, especially when it comes to environmental responsibility.
Last and definitely not least Smart Building Technology… This can cover a wide range of items. Smart Home, Access Control, Security Cameras, Property Management software, and more. But we like to look for the systems that have the willingness and capability to play nice with other partners and integrate to offer the most seamless solution for the Owner and Resident. That is Smart Technology.
Our trip to National Harbor for Optech was not just an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in our industry but also a chance to strengthen relationships with our partners and clients. As we move forward, we’re excited to implement the ideas and strategies discussed during the conference to enhance our offerings at South Bay Hardware.
